The Grey Hoodie Boy Part 2 Hello

For the past few days, unintentionally or perhaps intentionally, I have been taking an earlier bus to work. Today I was on the early bus again and Grey Hoodie boy wasn’t on it. I felt a sense of relief and disappointment at the same time. It’s funny how when someone is always around, you never notice them, but once you start noticing them, they’re never around.

I’ve been getting teased by my colleagues, friends and family about Grey Hoodie boy with many of them asking what Grey Hoodie boy looks like. In the bus ride I was composing my blog reply to this question. Imagine a 20 something Chinese boy, tall, slim, in working clothes and a perpetual light grey hoodie. Messy spiky black hair, fair, sharp features, small eyes and never smiling. He walks languidly with a backpack slung lazily around one of his shoulders, that is until he sees the bus in the horizon, then he starts running really really fast.

Whether he’s good looking or not, I’m not sure, he’s definitely not not good looking, but also not drop dead gorgeous or someone you notice immediately.

So with these words running through my head, I reached my work station, switched on my computer and realised that I didn’t have any money for dinner tonight. So I thought I would go out to the bank next door and get some money from the atm.

There was someone else at the atm so I stood there waiting with my wallet and listening to my ipod. Then I saw someone in a grey hoodie walking up the street and slow down.

It was Grey Hoodie boy.

You know how when you’re falling down there’s a moment when time stops and you’re thinking in disbelief ‘you’ve got to be kidding’. That was me. Looking at him stupidly (with the earphones still in my ear, oh god) he smiled at me and said ‘Hello’. So I smiled back, and said ‘hello’ and I turned back to the atm!!!!!

Now, back at the office, I’m still in a state of disbelief and am blushing from head to toe. Aiyoh.

Wow this is really exciting. What an amazing coincidence that he just happened to be there when you were thinking about him! Perhaps you should try to talk to him a little bit more one day?

I imagine him quite manga looking from your descriptions hehehe. Like the boy in “Bei Shang Juliet”, remember that manga? Haha.

OMG!!! Hahahahaha, your pick up line is so cliche!! My other colleague T keeps teasing me and calling him my boyfriend. It’s like going back to secondary school.
