Saitaoha is 10

How the years have flown by. My sweet, cute and bright baby.

Always smiley and cheerful. Aiji obsessed, she still loves icecream to this day.

Somehow she grew up overnight and became a little lady.

Gosh how did ten years go by in a blink. The best decade ever.

R and I always talk about the kids when they were small. The early years were definitely not easy, but they were also filled with indescribable happiness.

Double digits. Saitaoha is now ten, a cool as cucumber, elegant not so little girl who is quiet, sensitive, brave and strong. Very set in her ways, meticulous, gentle and careful.

Her grandparents are her strongest supporters. They give her such a solid foundation and they are her sanctuary.

Her cousins and her sister are her best friends. They have a tight bond and are so strong together.

Happy birthday my dearest Saitaoha. Thank you for giving papa and I the most wonderful ten years of our lives. We love you so so much.

Happy birthday ah pa

Happy that we could all gather together to celebrate my father’s birthday. My ah pa is truly the best and deserves to be celebrated everyday, not just on his birthday.

It’s my goal to shower my father with love, care and appreciation at every opportunity. If I eat something nice, I want to share it with my parents. If I’m travelling with him, I want to make sure that he is happy and comfortable. Honestly the only reason why I want to work harder and get promoted is so that I can buy more nice things for my parents haha. I want to live everyday with no regrets towards my parents. It’s not easy because I am short tempered, and sometimes I am tired and selfish.

Happy birthday ah pa, may you be happy and healthy always.

骏马奔腾,福运连连

The demolition fence has finally gone up. It’s been a long time coming. I know we still have ages to go, but at least it’s one step forward.

Our annual pilgrimage to Damian’s grape farm. My dad and I always feel so bad when he ends up undercharging us by a lot with the grapes, yet I like seeing my dear friend once a year, and being able to pass him some Chinese new year treats. It’s also become an annual tradition that ah pa and I go together. I’ve decided next year I will buy him a whole roast duck.

He really had the best grapes !

My pretty girls and my Valentine haha. I love this photo because it shows how different my girls are in personality hehe.

They are now so big and proper helpers in the kitchen. I wasn’t planning to make bak kwa this year but decided to at a whim when I realised my sister actually really likes bak kwa because she asked my mum to buy overpriced tiny ones from Costco.

Trying to grill it less and have them softer this year.

Writing my sincere Chinese new year wishes to my nearest and dearest. I hope they enjoy my bak kwa this year and it brings them some happiness.

Our Korean friends came by with jeon for us 💕. It’s nice to have friends who care. I am looking forward to our reunion dinner tomorrow, hoping the horse year brings us 龙腾马跃迎新春,万事顺遂福满门.
