My little girl is not so little anymore, she turned nine today. She was the sweetest, cutest baby and she is still a sweetheart today. Quiet, thoughtful, meticulous, sensitive and kind.
She had a day where she got to choose everything she wanted, pizza in her lunchbox, Krispy Kreme donuts for her classmates as a birthday treat, KFC for dinner and Dome’s for supper! She said afterwards that she was really full.
Lucky girl’s birthday falls on a long weekend so I feel like we are celebrating all weekend haha. She has already asked for Nando’s for lunch tomorrow and we are having a family dinner on Sunday with an icecream cake which she requested.
Still with her beloved Xiu Xiu nine years on.
Last weekend she had a birthday outing with her best friends. Their birthdays fall within a week of each others.
These two… I wonder whether they will still be good friends when they grow up. Friendships are so fleeting nowadays, one can only hope.
They really look so happy don’t they? A friend mentioned to me that my girls are so pretty in her eyes, she wondered whether it’s because they seem so carefree and happy with such happy smiles all the time? She said in contrast her own kids are always so stressed because of the tough schooling schedule in China.
They’ve promised to be BFFs forever haha.
Saitaomei made a card for her sister and whispered to me that she wanted to go to the shops to buy a present for her sister. So we brought her to the shops and she bought a stationary storage shelf for her sister, Saitaoha was so happy with her present. She has promised to buy the same one for her little sister in return. I hope these two remain two peas in a pod and best friends forever.
