Happy Father’s Day to the girls’ papa. Papa is always the second favourite (even third or fourth sometimes after the grandparents) in the family but I think it’s a position that he prefers.

His 开心果 and her handmade present, during special days like these I always admire the teachers and the school that out in so much effort in making the day special.

His Father’s Day big breakfast which to be frank is what they have most Sundays.
I wanted to do more to celebrate my Ah pa but he was in hibernating mode at home, I would too with this rainy weather. Couldn’t even buy his favourite durians because they’re out of stock! Ah well, I guess if you’re 孝顺 everyday can be Father’s Day.

It was a nice Saturday because R had his day off. The girls begged us to go to the art gallery because they love this interactive building block section. So on a rainy Saturday we headed into the city.

My pretty flower haha. They had lots of fun and so did the adults. We stopped for afternoon tea of cinnamon donuts and hot chocolate for the girls, coffee for adults and they both declared it was the best day ever. They’ve had many ‘best days’ this year so let’s hope we’re doing better as parents. I fail so constantly that it’s nice to see them happy.

We both made it to their sports carnival this year, R said it was fun, he’s never been before. Last year it was the first time I stayed all day and that was when my brother and sil were here and I was having my break prior to changing jobs. How time flies.

This competitive, bossy and agile little girl was second in the individual races. Who knew she had such focus? Hope this holds her in good stead as she grows older.
And there we are, back to Monday again. Work is slow and yet turbulent at the same time, I think I’ll be glad when Christmas rolls around.
