They all come together

You’re looking at the fruits of my past few weeks of Christmas cookie baking. This includes a fun Sunday session with my niece Kaka. She enjoyed decorating the cookies with sprinkles, shiny dust and colourful icing. But I know her favourite part was eating the cookies! Funny girl kept hinting ‘these look yummy….’ then proceeded to nom down several cookies.2014-12-13-21-54-50_decoA mixture of almond biscotti (including some with dark chocolate bits), scottish shortbread and ginger bread all wrapped up in pretty bows. I think Kaka’s decorated cookies added a lot of Christmas cheer and festivity to the jars.

These are going to be for R’s colleagues as well as some of my favourite workmates. I hope they like them :). I definitely had fun baking them and will probably attempt rocky road and other sweet treats next year. Maybe Tristan will be old enough to play with Kaka and I in the kitchen next year…

Bring on the holidays already!!!
