Day 1 London: Cookie monster, Valley Park and Chiquito

Jo and I are now in London! It’s now the end of our first full day in London and so far it’s been great :).

day 1 02
Last minute shopping for baby niece at the airport, Spot the Dog and my favourite Cookie monster, every baby needs a Cookie Monster and this one is very cute and cuddly!

day 1 01

No sign of the famous London grey skies this weekend. It was blue skies and sunny all day. This is the view from my sister’s living room window.

day 1 03

Cookie monster was well received by Meika, or Kaka as the family call her. She chewed on it immediately. Kaka is super cute and lovable and is a determined little baby girl filled with sunny smiles. She has the cutest dimple and is active and very interested in her surroundings.

She also loves tv, music and books so this definitely runs in the family. Jo and I had lots of fun playing with her even though I think we really need to update ourselves on kid lullabies.  Our repertoire stopped at London bridge is falling down and Old Macdonalds had a farm.

day 04

She is obviously a daddy’s girl and shares her father’s love of electronic games. We had to keep steering her away from the Xbox as she has figured out how to switch it on.

day 1 05

In the afternoon, we went to the nearby Valley Park retail area for some shopping and a Mexican lunch at Chiquito. Complimentary starters of tortilla chips and salsa.

Andy had the beef chilli enchilada while I had the pulled pork enchilada which came baked on a bed of Mexican spiced rice and topped with melted cheese. Depending on which filling you chose, the price range was around 10 pounds (around aud 15) which I reckon is really reasonable  compared to Perth. It was really yummy too.

day 1 06

Jo had the Chiq Chiq chicken basted in honey and lime sauce and served with chips, onion rings, coleslaw and corn on the cob (also around 10 pounds). This came in a huge portion and Jo couldn’t finish it, this is when we need R to be around, he would have polished everything in no time.

day 1 07

Blueberries and blackberries to finish off for the day. It was my first time trying blackberries and I think I like them. It was a great first day with more days to come, yeah!

Hi, That’s why we need to buy those mother goose nursery rhymes together with the children songs cds as well. Luckily, my mom know how to sing some them. try twinkle twinkle litte star, baa baa black sheep, rock a bye baby, how much is that doggie in the window. Even Fung knows how to sing them after we keep repeating it to baby.
